can you like have an example shown of how the window changes. because the window sill changes shape or color in a subtle way when it does, least noticable thing and i want to know the difference, side to side comparison.
also in my experience so far, the screenshot doesnt seem to help that much. I only have a tv, the time is also limited. I'd like to have the afterthefact zoom have a manual button I can press to initiate that, along with an option to also observe the room for the mistake after you've failed it.
I'm not sure how we would add the example of an item changing in the game, since that would require making an example for each item. The window changes by becoming a rectangle. In the future updates we'll work on making the difficulty curve less steep so that you won't need a screenshot at all, but having manual controls for the zoom doesn't sound too intuitive so I fear it may not make it into the game.

Like, I've made the window as a last resort at times when nothing looks changed at all. But I'll end up loseing. and at times, it could be like 2 to 3 items and I wont see any visible changes where i may only be able to guess it's the window sill and nothing else. Idk if that's a bug or if Im just overlooking something, but ive been pretty keen enough to get up to wave 9.

But I want to point out that bobosupreme couldn't spot the items that have changed a couple of times which made him think nothing changed, so that may be the case here.
Well it is a game made for a game jam. When a game is being made in such a short period of time you have to worry more about things like bugs and implementing important features, and even that isn't easy in 2-3 days. Nonetheless thanks for leaving a comment and appreciating the game idea!

Seeing the first item change is something that would be tricky to implement because the way things are as of now, so we can't really go with that approach as it would require a lot of rework, but highlighting the right (and wrong items) after the player clicks the confirm button is something that will surely make it into the game!

Glad you found it enjoyable with someone :D As of now the game can actually last for about 40 rounds, it would be simple enough to make it playable past that number but I wouldn't be able to scale the difficulty more after that point the way it's scaled now.
I actually think that is bigger than my best score. I mean I didn't get to play the game too much at the end, but I was the one who drew every single item in there... Well guess I'll have to beat 22 now...
Nice and refined piece! I like almost everything: the music, the art, the colors, the website and the UI were done with care and diligence, I really like :)
However, I found the game tedious and quickly wanted to stop playing, but my daughter actually liked it and continued playing for a long time, and I realized I was just being lazy :D
In my opinion, it would be better if the game gave more feedback, such as highlighting which item has changed, when the player failed. Also would be nice if it was more generous with a second chance, and allowed us to start again from the latest level instead of starting from scratch.
Anyway, it's still a nice piece that I enjoyed looking and listening the song, so, keep doing it that you're in the right path!

Well it is my fault as the game designer that I couldn't keep you as the player interested long enough, so no worries! Showing which item's were the changed ones is definitely something I've considered but just wouldn't have the time for since it's a jam game. If the game gets developed further it is a must add feature! The idea for continuing from a level you chose would be a bit interesting to figure out how to do, whether to make it as a second chance or make a save point. But at least it shouldn't be hard to implement codewise so it may make it into the game. Thanks for the kind words as well as for the feedback!
Interesting idea! It started as such a struggle (i think i lost at round 1 maybe ten times :’) ) but managed to make it to round 7. If you wanted to make it into a cute mobile game I think it would do well with some kind of progression mechanics to ease the player through the experience instead of one wall of mass memorisation. (start with a sparse room and objects can be persistently added to it as you get more successful maybe). Enjoyed this experience ^-^

Also sorry for making you play the first round a lot, I was the one who drew the room and playtested most of the time so I was pretty used to the game and just powered through it, forgetting the fact that other people may not be able to memorize 20 different items all at once... A very simple premise with some nice pixel art.
Two improvements I would suggest:

Hii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^
-The concept of the game is really cool.-The gameplay mechanics are well implemented and give replayability to the game.
-The game visually looks great and fits really well the theme of the game.
-It could be interesting to have an animated/moving background with slowly changing colours after you beat level 8/10, to make the game harder.

EDIT: round 7 is pretty good...i playtested the game repeatedly and didn't get any farther than 6 (ㆆ_ㆆ)
